About the Game

A place for every dish

Tidy Things is a calm puzzle about loading a mid-century dishwasher. Each level gives you a rack and a sink full of dishes: plates, cups, glasses, bowls and more. Your job is to fit them in as neatly as you can.

Dishes turn a quarter turn at a time, but the rack's round tines and cutlery basket stay put, so every shape has to work around them. Some racks fill completely. Others come with more dishes than will fit, and the puzzle is finding the tidiest load possible.

Reach the level's target and the load comes out Clean. Leave no slot wasted and it comes out Spotless.

Four simple steps

How to Play

  1. 1Drag

    Drag a dish from the sink onto the rack. Drag it again to move it, or drop it back in the sink.

  2. 2Turn

    Tap a dish to turn it a quarter turn, in the sink or on the rack.

  3. 3Fit

    Work around the round tines and the cutlery basket: nothing goes there. The counter shows the empty slots.

  4. 4Wash

    Reach the target to start the wash for Clean. Leave no slot wasted for Spotless and open the next level.

Stuck? Tap the bulb for a hint: it shows which dish to use and where it goes. Every player has five hints in total, shared across all the levels, so save them for the trickiest loads.
